Speedhut Terms of Service
Speedhut.com is built to help you design, customize, and order gauges with confidence. Using the site, tools, store, or services means you agree to the terms below.
1. Custom Orders, Accuracy, and Changes
Speedhut gauges are built to order. Each custom product is made around the specifications you provide, so accuracy matters.
- Production timeline: Build and shipping estimates are guidelines, not guarantees.
- Custom order changes: Once a custom order enters production, changes, cancellations, or refunds may be limited. Full refunds are not guaranteed once artwork or gauge production has started.
- Customer specifications: You are responsible for confirming all vehicle information, text, fonts, colors, design choices, and odometer programming details before placing your order.
2. User-Submitted Artwork and Graphics
Speedhut may allow customers to upload custom artwork, graphics, text, or logos for use on gauge faces.
- Your responsibility: By uploading any graphic, logo, trademark, or text, you confirm that you own the rights or have legal permission to use it.
- Indemnification: You agree to hold Speedhut harmless from claims, damages, legal fees, or costs related to artwork, logos, trademarks, or text you submit.
- Right of refusal: Speedhut may refuse to print artwork or text that is offensive, inappropriate, or appears to infringe on protected intellectual property.
3. Warranty Coverage
Speedhut stands behind its products with warranty coverage built around the original purchaser.
- Electronic circuit boards: Internal electronic circuit boards are covered for the lifetime of the original purchaser.
- Hardware, sensors, and accessories: Sensors, wiring harnesses, outer hardware, lighting elements, and related accessories are covered for five years from the original purchase date.
- Warranty exclusions: Coverage does not apply to damage caused by improper installation, faulty wiring, unauthorized repairs, vehicle accidents, racing incidents, extreme water or weather exposure, physical abuse, normal wear, scratches, fading, or long-term color breakdown.
4. Installation and Liability
Speedhut gauges monitor critical vehicle data, including speed, oil pressure, engine temperature, and related performance information. Proper installation matters.
- Installation warning: Speedhut recommends installation by a certified automotive technician. DIY installation is done at the customer’s own risk.
- Liability limitation: To the fullest extent allowed by law, Speedhut is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of vehicle use, engine damage, property damage, personal injury, accidents, speeding tickets, or fines related to uncalibrated, unsynchronized, or lagging speedometers.
- Maximum liability: Speedhut’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific product involved in the dispute.
5. Product Representation and Calibration
- Digital previews: Gauge colors may vary slightly from the online preview due to differences in screens, monitors, mobile displays, and digital rendering.
- Speedometer calibration: Customers are responsible for calibrating programmable speedometers, including pulse-per-mile and GPS-based models, according to Speedhut instructions before driving on public roads.
6. Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any related agreements are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any legal action related to these terms must be brought in a state or federal court located in Utah.
